Open a box and track a box break
Open a booster box or other sealed product into its packs, see what each pack cost, and follow the whole break.
A box break starts with a sealed box you own. Open it into its packs, then rip them now or one at a time later.
Open the box
- On Collection, swipe right on the box and tap Rip, or open the box and tap Rip one.
- Holofile asks Open the box? and says how many packs are inside and what each one cost, for example “36 packs at $4.03 each”. If it doesn’t know the count, set it with Packs inside. If the box held other packs, tap Different packs?.
- Tap Open.
What each pack cost
The price you paid for the box is split evenly across its packs, to the cent. A $145 box of 36 packs makes 28 packs at $4.03 and 8 at $4.02. A box with packs from different sets splits the same way.
Each rip’s profit is measured against its pack’s share. If you didn’t record what you paid for the box, the packs have no cost, and rips show their value only.
Rip the packs
Rip them one after another, or stop and come back later with Continue ripping on the box. As you go, Holofile shows Pulled so far against what you paid, how many packs are open, and how far you are from breaking even.
Packs you don’t rip stay sealed in your collection, each with its share of the cost.
