Who makes Holofile

Holofile is made and run by Shiny Labs LLC, based in Florida, USA. Holofile is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures or GAME FREAK.

What it does

Holofile is an iPhone app (iOS 16.4 or later) for keeping track of a card collection:

• Point, scan, done. Hold your phone over a card and Holofile finds the set, number and today’s price. Wrong match? Search right from the sheet and swap it.
• Log a whole box break. Open a box into its packs and rip them one at a time. Every pull shows up priced, and each pack’s cost comes from what you paid for the box, so you see what every rip really made.
• Portfolios, and values of your own. Keep the sealed you’re holding apart from your binder: each portfolio has its own value, paid and profit. Every copy keeps what you paid for it, and you can set your own value on any copy.
• Is it a fair swap?. Put what you give against what you get, at today’s prices. Within 10% it’s about even; past that it says who comes out ahead. When the trade’s done, carry it into your collection in one step.
• Raw or graded? Know first. Compare what each grade sells for against raw Near Mint, with its population, and see recent graded sales. PSA, CGC, BGS and more.
• Show off the pull. Turn a big hit, a box break, a new badge or your Trainer card into a card made for your story.

Where prices come from

Holofile’s prices are market prices from our data provider, which tracks what cards and sealed product sell for. They update once a day. Each copy you own is valued at its own condition, or at its grading company and grade. Prices are estimates of market value, not offers to buy or sell.

The card catalog

The catalog covers English and Japanese cards, sets and sealed product. Japanese cards show their English names by default and their printed names on request. Browse every set’s card list and release date: all sets and Japanese sets.

Card names, images and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.

Privacy

• Your collection stays on your iPhone. No account needed. Cloud sync is there when you want it.
• Anonymous stats you can switch off. Usage numbers with nothing about you in them, off in Settings.
• No ads, no trackers. No third-party analytics, and nothing sold or shared for advertising.

The privacy policy says what leaves your phone, why, and for how long.
