Conditions and grades

Record a raw card’s condition, or a slab’s grading company and grade, so each copy is valued at the right price.

Updated

Each copy is valued at its own condition, or its grading company and grade. Set it when you add a copy, or later under Condition in the copy’s editor.

Raw cards

Choose Raw and pick a condition:

  • NM: Near Mint
  • LP: Lightly Played
  • MP: Moderately Played
  • HP: Heavily Played
  • DM: Damaged

New copies start at NM. When there’s no market price for a lower condition, Holofile estimates one from the Near Mint price. See Where prices come from.

Graded cards

Choose Graded, then the Grading company (PSA, CGC, BGS, TAG or SGC) and the Grade (10, 9.5, 9, 8.5, 8, 7 or 6). You can note the slab’s cert number too.

A graded copy is valued at the price for that company and grade. Graded prices are never estimated: if there’s no price for a grade yet, Holofile says so. To see what each grade sells for, see Graded prices and population.

Sealed product

Sealed product has a free-text condition instead, such as “Shrink intact”.
