Scan sealed products
Add a booster box, tin or pack by scanning its barcode or its front, or find it with search.
Scan sealed product the same way as a card: tap + and hold the box, tin or pack in view.
By barcode
Holofile reads the retail barcode on a box, tin or pack. Its own list of barcodes is small for now, so many aren’t known yet.
- If Holofile knows the barcode, the product opens straight away.
- If it doesn’t, the line above the camera says Barcode not known yet · tap to say what it is.
To teach it the barcode:
- Tap that line. Which product is this? opens, with search for sealed products.
- Find the product the barcode is on and tap it. You’ll see “Barcode saved: it opens this product from now on”.
- Point at the barcode again, and the product opens. Then tap Add.
The barcode is saved on your phone, so it works there straight away. Holofile also sends us the barcode’s digits and the product you picked, with no account or device ID, so it can go on the list for everyone.
You don’t have to teach it: search works just as well (below).
By the front of the product
When Holofile sees sealed product, it offers Sealed product? Tap to see matches. Tap it and pick the right one.
By search
On the scanner, tap Sealed product › at the bottom to search sealed products. See Add a card or sealed product.
Barcodes and sealed product aren’t looked for while you’re ripping a pack.
After you add it
Sealed copies keep a free-text condition, like “Shrink intact”, instead of a card grade. When you’re ready to open one, see Open a box and track a box break or Rip a pack and log your pulls.
